Flow

A steady, breath-led practice to awaken energy and focus.
Flow is Sanctuary’s most active class, designed for those who want to move, breathe, and build heat in a mindful, non-performative way. You’ll explore standing sequences, balance poses, and smooth transitions that develop strength, endurance, and inner stability — always with attention to form, breath, and safety.

The pace is steady but intentional, inviting you to experience strength as an extension of awareness rather than effort.

Please note: Students should have a basic familiarity with yoga postures, be comfortable bearing weight through the hands, and move safely between floor and standing positions.

Best suited for:

  • Those familiar with foundational poses and comfortable in flow-style transitions
  • Students seeking a mindful, strength-building practice that still honors rest and reflection
  • Anyone wanting to explore heat and focus through conscious, embodied movement

Slow Flow

Mindful movement that builds steadiness and strength.
Slow Flow bridges the space between gentle yoga and vinyasa-style movement. We move at an unhurried pace through standing and seated postures, linking breath with movement to cultivate balance, coordination, and confidence.

This class maintains Sanctuary’s restorative tone while introducing more active movement and gentle challenge to help you build strength and stability safely. It offers the benefits of flow-style yoga without the intensity or pace of a traditional vinyasa class, making it a perfect middle ground between Gentle + Meditation and our Flow class.

Please note: Students should be comfortable transitioning between the floor, all-fours, and standing positions.

Best suited for those seeking a mindful, moderately active practice that builds steadiness and strength while remaining slower and more accessible than a traditional flow class.

Ayurveda Initial Consultation

This is where we begin to understand you through the lens of Ayurveda.

In this 75-minute session, we’ll explore your unique constitution (dosha), current imbalances, lifestyle, digestion, energy, sleep, and the subtle ways your body and mind may be signaling disharmony. Together, we’ll begin to map out simple, sustainable shifts in diet, daily routine, self-care, and seasonal practices to support your body’s natural capacity to find balance.

Ayurveda teaches us that healing is a process — not a quick fix.

While you will leave this session with personalized insights and tools to begin implementing right away, deeper and lasting change unfolds over time. Follow-up sessions are encouraged to support you as you integrate these practices and adjust along the way.

This is an opportunity to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with your body’s inner wisdom — one gentle step at a time.

Your session time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I kindly ask for a 24 hour notice. Cancellations made 24 hours before your scheduled session are not eligible for refund. Thank you for understanding and honoring this shared commitment to your care.

A grounding class for healing, rest, and nervous system support.

This class combines gentle movement, restorative postures, and guided meditation to help you reconnect with your body and breath. Most of our time is spent on the floor in a seated, reclined, or supported position and moving slowly through poses that release tension and encourage deep rest.

We’ll also explore transitions into all-fours positions and occasional standing postures, building strength and stability in a safe, supported way. You’ll be gently introduced to yoga foundations such as alignment, breath awareness, and mindful movement, helping you gain comfort and confidence in your practice at your own pace.

Best suited for:

Those new to yoga or returning after time away or anyone seeking a slower, nurturing class to support healing and calm.

Please note: For safety, students should be able to move to and from the floor, transition through all-fours positions, and navigate stairs independently.

Tea & Tranquility: Yin, Reiki, and Herbal Support

Tea & Tranquility: Yin, Reiki, and Herbal Support

A cozy evening of stillness, nervous system nourishment, and connection.

Join us for a relaxing collaboration with herbalist and Reiki Master Cindy Ross and yoga teacher Kristina Gaito for an evening designed to help you rest deeply and learn how to support your body during busy or stressful times.

We’ll begin with a slow yin class designed to help you settle, soften, and feel supported.
As the body relaxes, the nervous system follows, making space for ease, breath, and rest.

We'll have an extended savasana (relaxation) where you'll have the option to experience reiki using either a hands on or off approach - depending on your comfort.

After practice, we’ll shift into the tea portion of the evening. Cindy will guide you through tasting a selection of warm herbal teas (plus a cool option if you prefer it), sharing what adaptogens are, how they support the nervous system, and practical ways to weave them into your everyday life. This is not a technical herbal lecture but a grounding and accessible discussion, with space for conversation, questions, and connection.

You will take home a small tea sample and a simple yin-at-home handout so you can continue the experience beyond the studio.

This workshop is perfect for anyone craving rest, simplicity, and a slower pace. No previous yoga or herbal experience is needed, just a willingness to settle in and be supported.

Because this gathering is limited to 12 participants, refunds are available with 48 hours' notice; after that, we’re unable to offer reimbursement.

Wintering Series

Wintering Yin Series

A series that invites deep, subtle transformation through yin yoga, rest, and seasonal alignment.

Winter asks us to pull energy inward, conserve what’s precious, and tend our inner landscape the way the natural world tends its own. Yin gives us the perfect space for this - with long-held supported poses, quiet breath, and enough stillness for the body to soften and the nervous system to settle into safety.

Winter may seem quiet on the surface, but a lot is happening beneath. It’s a season of deep inner work and a liminal time where energy gathers below the soil, roots fortify, and new directions begin to form long before they’re visible.

This series mirrors what winter is already teaching all around us. Just as the earth slows down to restore itself, you’ll have space to simplify and soften so your own inner systems can replenish. As you rest more deliberately, without rushing or forcing, your body begins to rebuild energy the way roots draw strength underground.

In that quieter pace, clarity returns, capacity expands, and the earliest seeds of whatever wants to grow next in you can finally take hold.

Limited to 12 students. Because of the intimate group size, refunds aren’t available within 48 hours of the class start date. You’re welcome to transfer your spot to another person.

A Valentine's Ritual

Self Devotion: A Valentine's Ritual

This Valentine’s Day weekend, step into an evening devoted entirely to you.

We’ll begin with a slow, grounding practice to settle your nervous system and soften into the body. This practice will work to gently awaken the heart center (Anahata Chakra), the energetic home of compassion, forgiveness, and inner connection.

From that steadier place we'll move into a simple, heartfelt ceremony writing personal vows to yourself, naming what you’re ready to release, and honoring what you’re ready to welcome in.

You’ll leave with a symbolic handfasting ribbon and a vow you can return to anytime you forget your own worth.

Valentine's Day is so often about other people. This year, let it be about the relationship that has carried you through every chapter of your life: the relationship with yourself.

Yoga with Sharon Gordon. Ceremony with Lauren DeCristofaro, a Justice of the Peace and seasoned retreat facilitator with 10+ years of guiding self-growth experience.
